Right, this is based on a conversation I had with my mates a while back. We were talking about what we look for in girls looks wise. I mentioned that I tend to find people of one particular race (not naming which one though) very attractive.

Got me to thinking, is that racist?

I wouldn't say so, unless you go about stating racist reasons why you don't find other races very attractive (but i get from the post you do find all races attravtive, but prefer one perticular one? )

It's a choice. It might be based on preference due to commonality and comfort that brings.

I have always gravitated towards different. I've dated (in the past- I'm married 25yrs happily) all different nations, races, cultures) Not inclined to be gay so no males- just "mates" as some of you put it.

What would make it racism is if one believes that a particular race is superior for one reason or another.

I don't know....i'am the same way......I find one race of men very attractive.....and that's what I like......don't know if it's racist or not.....

Please, for the sake of people that race is a reason for racism you could you not muddle this yet again?
For those who know that race has no superiority- We know we are all the human race- but race is a scientific term that apllies to interspecies variations and fits quite well with melatonin of different human clines.

but as for the OP I don't think it's racist. I don't particularly like one race. It's not because of the race, I just don't find them attractive.

I was kicked out of my local library for moving all the bibles to the 'fiction' section.

no its not. its personal preference. some people arent attracted to white people. some arent attracted to black people. neither is being racist, its just a preference. like finding blue eyed blonde haired people attractive but not finding yourself attracted to brown haired grey eyed people...that isnt eyeist or hairist, its still down to preference.
