Join Date: May 2006 | Has there been a more overrated tv programme this decade than Family Guy?
It isn't funny, makes no sense, yet loads of people seem to love it, and talk about the jokes all the time. But the jokes are completely random and make no sense in relation to the plot. It seems to work on a premise of putting in a pop culture reference, and assuming that if you get the reference you'll laugh...and people do!
I've seen people see a 'joke' which is one of these references, and laugh at it, because they quite simply got the reference.
Anyone else agree with me, or have you all fallen into the trap of liking this s***e? |  | |

Well see thats another thing I don't like about other types of jokes, is that its supposed to make you laugh because they are being 'risky'. But with programmes like South Park going even further, Family Guy just seems tame. | | | |

I find comedy funny on all levels.. some people dont. I find family guy entertaining somedays otherdays poorly writen comedy.. its all to do with taste and mood.

It depends on how extreme your humour is. I really really don't like south park, I don't think it's funny at all, family guy however I find amusing.
I quite like american dad as well, more so family guy though

again depends on the person. I don't like south park but like family guy. You don't like family guy but like south park. Greg likes both.

That's because Family Guy is on regular free network TV and they have stricter standards than the cable/dish channels here do. South Park is on Comedy Central which is a cable/dish channel that you have to pay for to get. So South Park can get away with alot more than Family Guy can.
