I had an email sent me a bit controversial, i pressed the repy button with a reply and cc another into the email, the sender phoned me and said he never sent the original email, the return path was back to him and he got my reply, could anyone else email on his email address and can it be traced my email is tiscali his is hotmail

I'm not an expert, but yes, that can happen. I don't know much about hacking, but you could send an email like that either by hacking into the other person's computer or if they can find out the other person's address and password. That's how they send out viruses and spam. Sorry if that was unclear.

I got an E-mail from UK national lottery awhile back saying I won 250,000 so I Googled it and it turned it was a scam of course I spent the next two weeks convincing them I was a from the bayou it was fun for a little while, then I explained to them that if they were gonna keep up with the scam they should at least change the names they were using occasionally.

these people are just sending you emails just to hack your emails and get your account information, but i you need to do is ignore it and never reply back.
