Federal Elections are comin up very soooon - January 23rd, to be exact!

That's a Monday.

Take fifteen minutes outta your day to go to your polling station to cast your ballot, whether it's when you're at home or at work or school...just VOTE!!!

Dont vote for the Conservatives, dont vote for the Liberals ---> only two rules you need to follow.

( VOTE for the NDP! or Green Party! or Marijuana Party! just VOTE! )

You'd have to put this in the Canada thread Kerri..

And you and I (and sarah) will be the only ones to go in there! haha

Ignore her...You can vote Liberal.

Just don't vote conservative. Harper is evil!!

Yay for you!

Liberals, if you really dont want to vote NDP. (Hey, what's wrong with Layton? )

(WHY are the Conservatives ahead in the polls?!?! I dont get it! )

People are telling me there's no point, to spoil my ballot, that we cant change the system through the system, etc. I better stop talking to them for the moment, they sound convincing.

I'm not.

Harper's been a no-show at the International AIDS Convention so far, and his people say that he definitely WONT be showing up later either. And they (PMO) abruptly cancelled the keynote address where federal spending was going to be announced. BAD.

He didn't do very much about the lumber issue either, but it's fixing itself. Sorta.

I still think the child care "plan" was/is retarded. My sister, who has a baby girl, much preferred the Liberal child care method, with actual care provided instead of just cash.

And we can't just ignore the Israel issue - this is the first major international issue that Canada's had to deal with since Harper's coming to office, and while it's his right to support/condemn whoever he wants, he's a politician and I think he should take care to make his comments a bit more diplomatic.

Also...Afghanistan. I think we need more peacekeepers there, not soldiers. Why are we changing what's worked so well for us, for so long? We're great at peacekeeping and rebuilding. We're not so great at guerilla warfare. Sure we should try to change that bit by bit...but I think right now we're putting to much emphasis on warfare when we should be focusing more on the peace/rebuildin aspect of Afghanistan.

Aaaaaaaand....
that's my two cents.

(for now. )

the Conservatives (NOT conservitives) have been in power for 16 months now and the crooks are still mumbling about how they can't figure out how the Canucks wetre stupid enuf to vote them out. The PCs have settled some stuff but it's hard to do when the Senate (those sleepy sleezy senior sticks) blocks and dodges every move. This is the most active they've been for 100 years and some of them are even coming in from Mexico, Arizona & Florida where they've been studying the longterm effect heat has on senility using themselves as subjects. (on our dollar of course)
The Aids conference was attended by the Minister of health (fitting) and since then the incidents of aids has remained pretty well the same as before the conference even tho the Aids people expected that if Harper attended the rate would plummet (why that would happen no one knows). The only way the rate of aids will fall is if ASfrican men stop going to prostitutes, getting infected and then having sex their wives whether the wives want to or not. homosezuals don't help with all the backdoor invasions but, as we all know--- they are normal???????????????/
