Kat's (my daughter) has had a really nasty flare up on her face, she normally gets it when she's stressed or is starting an illness.

We've tried prescription creams and a few other things but nothing helps.

I now have to do patch test before anything goes on her face as nearly everything suitable for sensitive skin burns her.

Anyone got any ideas or things they've used thats helped?

If it's white, sticky and not yours dont touch it.

ask your chemist for bactraban cream. it's a small tube, costs about a fiver but this stuff works on eczema!! I had terrible eczema on my ears as a child, this was the only stuff that worked.. you can still buy it

I've been applying olive oil to the worst bits, she used to get it all over her body but the last few years its just her face that gets it now.

It's heart breaking to watch cos some days she looks awful, ill and tired where its kept her awake at night.
She wants to wear makeup like her friends but most cosmetics make her flare up.

I will look up all advice and give it a go

She also has asthma which doesn't help, the 2 seem to go hand in hand.

We make up for the makeup with dodgy hairdo's and manicures

Renew lotion is all natural compaired to a lot of the over the counter and prescription creams. Excellent for dry skin works well on diaper rash and wont harm baby, so that tells how gentle it is. For the make up situation there is a all natural make up line dont know if that would help.

My wife uses the make up and doesnt break out like she use to.

I was going to recommend an olive oil. There is a cleanser made by DHC that is made in Japan that is called Deep Cleansing Oil, but it is made from olive oil. link [www.dhccare.com]

But there are alot of natural beauty products through this line that may be worth checking out.

Try vitamin E. And if you go to a natural food store they will have something. I have used raw/uncooked honey with the E mixed in. It takes time, but it worked for me
