Has anyone tried these?

candling, or thermo auricular therapy,
hopi ear candling is an old native american tradition practised by the hopi people.
it is used to treat ear, nose and throat problems, and is said to help with excessive wax.
alleviates stress, migraine, tinnitis and even snoring.
- idea is that the hollow candle acts like a chimney drawing out impurities.
If you want to find out more you google: Ear acupuncture & hopi ear candling!!.

I've seen my cousins and his friends do the hopi ear candles. They swear by them. It's weird, but I guess if I had a lot of wax build up it'd work.

I've had them done with great results. They do wonders for sinus troubles and head aches. They also really help to "open your ears" makes you hear heaps better and after having the treatment you feel like you're on cloud number 9.

I am in the process of signing up for a course so i can practice ear candling.

I have had acupuncture in the outer ears, mostly for relaxation. It's great.
I've also had my ears candled a few times. There is a bit of naysaying around its efficacy, but to me it feels wonderful and I feel less "clogged" up afterwards. I find I need to be careful, especially of cold wind, for a short time afterward (few days) as my ears get a bit sensitive.
