British artist Stephen Wiltshire is attempting to draw a panorama of New York's skyline entirely from memory.

He's amazing. I read something Oliver Sacks wrote about him and it included some of his drawings. The detail is incredible. Thanks for the link.

No probs I like his stuff too, amazing that he draws it after a 20 minute helicopter ride.

If you've not read the thing I mentioned, it's in 'An Anthropologist on Mars' (Oliver Sacks) and there is a chapter devoted to Stephen Wiltshire.

That's remarkable. I think only a tiny percentage of autistic people have savant abilities like photographic memory; one of my mates has very mild autism and he has bad memory problems.
