kozzak![]() St. Petersburg, Florida | #1 Down-Home Sausage Gravy Categories: Gravy, Sauce, Meat, Southern, Dixie, USA Yield: 4 Servings 1 ea Breakfast 16 oz pkg sausage 2 tb Onion finely chopped 6 tb All-purpose flour 2 ea Evaporated Milk 12 oz cans 1 c Water 1/4 ts Salt & pepper to taste Hot pepper sauce to taste 8 ea Hot biscuits Combine sausage & onion in large skillet. Cook over med-low heat, stirring occasionally, until sausage done. Stir in flour & mix well. Stir in evaporated milk, water, salt & hot pepper sauce. Cook, stirring occasionally, until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat & simmer for 2-3 mins. Serve immediately over biscuits. ORIGIN: Betty Parker, Ensley-AL, circa 1980 | ||||||
