I think if they did pixelate the nipples, it would've cast a negative connotation towards the clinical aspect of the whole procedure and made it look like some sort of taboo showing.
Like I said earlier, it wasn't like they had some woman up there doing this with a huge rack. Now THAT would've been inappropriate.
