Ok... my thoughts...

I believe you should stay positive... but not for that reason, as such...

If it's the luck of the draw then it's the luck of the draw - and nothings going to change that... However...

If it is something you have an influence over I think you need that positivity... without it you're certain to lose that determination to keep trying and MAKE it happen for you... If you can make something happen you have to believe it can happen too
