Yes, they can. It is my opinion, however, that they will be better understood and more highly respected as an individual if they wrote properly.

I once had an editor dare to correct a piece I wrote and adding in notes explaining the significance of what I was writing about.
Let's just say he and I had words and he has never interferred with anything I have written since.
If what I write makes sense to me then either read it as written or ignor it.
Lifes too short for the getting stressed by something so simple.

If life is so short, surely it would make more sense to get it right in the first place, thus saving valuable time explaining to people what you have written?

I will actually ignore peoples' posts if I can't read them clearly. If I have to take time to figure out what they're saying, I don't bother with them.

I'm only bothered by long, rambling posts that use no capitalization or punctuation. I can't figure out where their sentences end, and sometimes, if you break in the wrong place, it really doesn't make much sense
