This isn't really for site support because it's not about a problem with the site...just a question I've always wondered out of curiosity.

Is there any rhyme or reason to the order of people in my friends list? It seems to vary who is where on the list, and I've wondered why.

No big deal if there isn't really an answer.

in the old days the person you interacted with the most was at the top but then tino changed it and you could put people in any order you liked and then it broke and now I haven't a clue how or why.

As for the entire list of friends.. they have always been listed according to how often you chat with whom.

You could only arrange the top ten on your 'profile page' according to whom you wanted listed first; I'm pretty sure tino took away that ability though.

I've noticed it to be those with whom you've talked to the most combined with those whom you've added & talked to most recently combined with a little bit of randomness.
