What would possess a person to disfigure themself like this? It doesnt even look good in the shoe..it looks like a child's foot in the shoe..creepy!!!

That top pic is part of the culture. Women's feet were bound so that they were unable to walk. I didn't think it still went on.

Imagine how amazing it would be to walk around with spikes literally coming off your shoes! You'd just have to be very careful to not touch it to your leg or something. It would be pretty funny though. I think...
