Not sure if you remember this book from your childhood, but apparently they're making an animated movie about it. Its been a long time since i read the book but i distinctly remember as a kid thinking it'd be cool to have food fall from the skies. Here's a link to some info on the movie link [movies.ign.com]

Originally published in 1982....so I'm guessing if you were in Elementary school from 82-90, you might have read it or heard of it.

I had the added luck of attending 4 different elementary schools (military), so I sort of got an unusual unique exposure to multiple reading lists
