China vs Britain - Is England Slacking?

Production levels are much higher in China and supplies most goods to higher developed countries. Without China, England would be without many of the goods that are stacked on shelves today as well as the United States. Britain is seeing a decreasing number of citizens in Great Britain which are employed in tertiary type jobs and this also effects our economy. However, China can proudly say they are the heart of the worlds production

Now when we sit back and think about it, it becomes clear that in comparison, China are pushing ahead as Britain is slowly crumbling into a morbid society. Are we really slipping down the ranks?
