Children taken to "orphanage" have family

A group of Haitian children taken by an American church group have families apparently. The church group was trying to take the children to the Dominican Republic claiming they were orphans. But most of the children claimed to have parents still alive and gave authorities addresses and phone numbers.

Another person involved said that they were being taken to recieve medical treatment.

You really have to wonder what's going on here. I'm really glad they were stopped because something stinks. link

Dont forget that these children were said to be in need of medical help that is not available in Haiti at the moment ans so it's a difficult one to call.

I jumped to conclusions on hearing this story. But the people said they were told it was ok to take them.

There must be an awful lot of confusion there right now. So im holding judgement.
