And actually look into it for a change as opposed to spouting borgeoiuse elitist crap about it.

The way some people speak about it you'd think hospitals were euthanasia clinics, and that treatment is preferential, and patients are maliciously denied life saving treatment.

Its not like the rich cant get better treatment if they want, we still have a two-tier treayment system in the UK, and I dont assume for one minute this wouldnt happen in America either.

So I can't honestly see why those who can afford this anyway seem to be so offended at the idea of everyone having the right to healthcare.

Ummm, i'm pretty sure when they say about NHS death panel etc they mean.... Oh wait, the NHS. Yup. And health care is only good if you have it. My neighbour broke his hip yesterday, and he's poor as f***, but he still gets some form of half decent treatment. Poor bugger.

I don't have a problem with the NHS since it works for you guys.

I dread to think how much my treatment would've cost me if I hadn't got it on the NHS, the care I've had both in the hospital and since I was discharged has been excellent. No complaints from me whatsoever.

Healthcare is an emergency service, it's something which everyone needs and it has a significant effect on quality of life. It makes sense to provide it for free, and the US is going to have to start somewhere if it wants to resemble a modern developed country.
