I remember reading 'The Da Vinci Code' and there being a British character in it. In the book, the american main character incorrectly tells the British character that milk should be put in tea. The British character then finds this a terrible misconception, claiming tea should have lemon in it.

So apparently us Brits put lemon in our tea. I can't remember seeing anyone do this in my life. It got me to thinking, what other steriotypes about British people can you think of which are complete Bulls**t?

Even though someone thinks I have a posh accent

I was at a summer camp that normally has a lot of counselors from the u.k. for an leader in training program, and the counselors were imitating eachother's accents. When one of the American lady counselors was asked to do her british accent, I was so imbarrassed to be an American.

Her voice got seven pitches high and she screached, "Air-eee-poh-tah!"(harry potter)

When I was five (it bit stupid you know) I always believed that all british people had f**ked up teeth and that there were no dentists in the UK.
