Yeah, well i'd doubt theres anyone going to admit to being in anyway beyond pefection and absolubtely wonderful...anyway, wahtever i did try at least to get it back to a debate about...
if, lets' say, Bono son was starving to death he wouldn't go on stage and sing because he would be too concerened, he'd care too much about his son to do so...now obviously Guggi Q isn't going to starve to death 'cause his dads...so let's say Guggi Q is lost in a desert and needs rescuing then...Bono wld. care about that so much that he couldn't go on stage and perform, something he's admitted to enjoying. So theres a difference between caring for loved ones and for strangers and it seems to me that that difference renders the idea of caring for strangers somewhat suspect, shall we say!
Please try and stick to saying why that caring for strangers isn't rendered suspest...rather than my motives for thinkig the thing in the first place or whatever...that's not the point...although the whole thing got started 'cause i put my point too cynically, thats why i tried to put it more straightforwardly!

Well treeby, i'm interested in the idea and will at least try and be persuaded that the fact someone can enjoy themselves while strangers are suffering doesn't mean that they fundamentally don't care,even if at other times they act like they do...or even in some way do care!

That's not the same thing 'cause it's about someone who's close to them...but i can only ans that by saying that i don't think i cld. have fun doing anything if anyone i seriously cared about were dying of cancer...So, if those runners cld. have fun then...well i suppose it does seem bad...or it proves that they don't really care!!
