Maybe logically superior, though. I think that if I felt badly about myself for not doing something, I'd probably buck up and start doing it instead of blaming someone else for "making" me feel bad.

Then you wouldn't be doing it 'cause you cared!!! You'd be doing it to defend yourself from being accused of not caring, which is one of my arguements against the ppl who do it...They don't really care!

I v'e just read all that back and i still don't see how anyone's ans. my basic point that if Bono can go on stage and enjoy himself while ppl starve to death how can that not prove he doesn't really care? There must be some other reason why he does humanitarian work!!Caring isn't a tap you can switch on and off...and it doesn't invalidate the good that he does it just means he's got ulterior motives...

Why does the man who writes a $100 check to the Red Cross not donate his entire paycheck?

Because people care and like to do things that help, but are not willing to donate their entire lives to helping others.

Some people want to live their own lives and do what they can to help others.

Then again, some people live their own lives and never do anything for anyone else, and take pathetic cowardly pot shots at the people who are really out there making a difference.

I think i'm gonna leave this, i still think you can't say you care about ppl starving to death if at any point while ppl are starving to death that person who says they care is enjoying themselves.

Infact, the only real point i put that i felt i clearly won in all this is the one about Bono going on stage when one of his kids were starving to death and j'n came back with some flippant point...Bono wouldn't do that...because he really cares properly about his kids!!!
