I'm giving you a hard time because you have a conscience that makes you feel bad, but:

1) You don't do anything whatsoever about it, and
2) You blame someone else for it.

Yeah, well it doesn't bother me that much...it's more to do with feeling i have to withstand the pressure from the do-gooders, it's an imposition they have no right to try and impose! and being cynical about them is my way of getting my own back!!!

No, you weren't examining anything.

You were bitching and moaning about a celebrity who does more to help needy people in one week than you've done in your entire lifetime.

All because he actually helps people and it makes you feel badly about yourself.

You literally dislike the guy personally because he helps so many people and you don't think he's sincere enough.

Well, that's part of the process of exploring moral issues and questions of consionce!!Rather than just saying and maybe doing moral things and then feeling superior to people 'cause it seems they are you're moral inferiors!! Anyway, it's tea time!!

I never said I was morally superior.

Maybe logically superior, though. I think that if I felt badly about myself for not doing something, I'd probably buck up and start doing it instead of blaming someone else for "making" me feel bad.

If you want to explore that paticular moral issue, there are much better ways of going about it.
For a start, it is obvious the issue lies with you, its your fault you feel (by never helping people) like that and your the only one that can change that.(by helping)

Actually I fail to see how anything you said was examining anything other than your own insecurities. Maybe you should see a shrink? <--americanism! w00t!

Did it ever occur to you that there are people who do good things, who participate in humanitarian causes, who are kind, just to do them because it's the right and good thing to do rather than to feel superior? People who are involved in humanitarian efforts probably don't waste a whole lot of time patting themselves on the back and even if they do, they are still doing more than you...so in a way, they earned that right.

I just wanna shake it up.
