What do you think is the best horror movie you've ever seen?

Most of the ones i see are crap or leave me wanting to know more, like, they just " finish " and it annoys the hell out of me!

So what horrors do you think are GREAT? I wanna know what i should see next !

The one to have most recently given me the heebie jeebies was Silent Hill. That thing with the pyramid-shaped head!!

Us girls we are so magical
Soft skin, red lips, so kissable
Hard to resist so touchable
Too good to deny it
Ain't no big deal, it's innocent

The Exorcist, had me questioning faith and wondering the chances of being possessed. Still sends chills down my spine thinking about that crap. Also the Thing. Idea that you could be trapped up in some remote station somewhere cold and have to worry who among you isn't human.

I loved the old 1960's and 1970's horror movies. They would show a double bill on Friday nights. All the old Hammer House of Horror and even some old black and white classics like frankenstein and the mummy and dr jekkyl and mr hyde. I love how theatrical they were and the impact they would have had on the audience at the time.

There was this english horror about a suicide biker gang with Beryl Reid in it. It was totally classic.

For me the low tech hammy horror movies are just the best.

My uncle has a huge collection of horror dvds. All the old black and white ones and loads of 70s Hammer horrors. The ones I have seen are good fun!

George Romero's (if thats the spellin!)

Day of the Dead is the most scareiest film i have ever seen, others like Wolf Creek which is based on real events. I like most horror flick's but prefer when they are fictional.
HP Lovecraft were ok and stephen king is good as well, for newer releases I tend to favour originality, something new to an old tale like the Underworld movies but I cant really define those movies as a horror.
Hey haven't I answered this question b4 lol

Psychomainia, its worth a watch just for the "acting" and the terrible fashions and the fact that the whole movie makes no sense.
