Streelight is not that good. All they are are a updated version of Catch 22, with some new members. Quite frankly, "Keasby Nights" in itself is better than Streetlight. Also, What wave are we talking about? I mean, there is The Skatalites of the first wave, The Specials of the second, and Reel Big Fish of the Ska-Core age. thos would be my top picks. | | |

32/M/Springfield, Massachusetts Join Date: Nov 2006 | I'm sorry, but it seems many people who are in this forum haven't much of a clue what ska REALLY is. Less than jake was ska, but is no longer. the songs mentioned by them are in no way ska. those songs are rock with some horns. horns doesn't constitiute a ska band.
back to the original question, i like streetlight manifesto, and mustard plug. frankly, reel big fish, me first..., and less than jake doesnt it cut it to me as real ska... slm, catch 22, and others have unique sounds that DO constitute a real ska band. | | |
