I live in Manitoba and Psychologists are covered if referred by a Physician. Once you get the referral it's just a matter of waiting and your doctor will work with you until you get in to see one.. Great move towards helping yourself. Very brave and mature decision!!!

I Think it depends on your insurance. Mine is but then Im in the states. In my opinion it should be. Just call your provider, they can tell you.

First step is always the hardest, from there it's smooth sailing. Reason? There's a lot in you that really wants to come out and you'll feel so unburdened after a period of time that you'll be asking yourself why you didn't do it in the first place...

If you are referred then it is covered under Medicare. The reason being is that if your doctor refers you to one, you are probably with mental illness. If you walk in off the street, you are deemed to be what they call the living well. Those are the types who go to chat and have no mental illness.
