I am thinking about making an apple pie tonight. Whenever I make a pie I get a lot of juice in the inside of my pie. How do you thicken it up at bit? I am using my grandmothers recipe and follow all the directions but it comes out to juicy.
Does the recipe call for the apples to be mixed with flour?

Small amount of corn starch mixed with the butter you plain on putting in the pie will thicken it up a bit.
Its important that you mix the cornstarch with the butter before you mix it with the apple sugar mix.. or it will be lumpy.
Corn starch is a great idea, it's what I use.
