Is it me, or did most games on our phones turn into clones of that one game that was successful. I hate having to pay to advance in a game, or invite a friend to finish a quest. Does anyone know of any decent apps that do not require you to invite friends or pay money to play through?

I play a mobile app game that you don't need to invite friends. You don't have to pay either, but you can if you don't want to grind out so much. The game is glitchy though, but some of the people are cool (it has chat feature). I'm far too addicted to quit. I tried, but the people I met there conned me into coming back.

It really depends on what type of game you're looking for though.

My favorite right now is boom beach. Paying for things is optional and you don't have to invite anyone to advance.

Im usually playing time wasters. I work in EMS and it easier to do little games where Im not going to get destroyed if I cant play right then and there. I would like a nice quality made RPG.

I play Adventure Capitalist, definitely a time-waster. There is an option to pay, but isn't necessary for game progression.

I played that for a while. I'm stuck playing tap titans and tower dungeon. They offer pay for items, but I just grind away on them. I did get a couple of decent emulators and I plan on playing some gameboy games on my phone now. Its the only compromise that I've come up with.

I did that! When Pokemon Go was released I got an emulator so I could play Pokemon Yellow

I heard the new Nintendo device - Switch - will require a subscription with a monthly fee...
I haven't looked into the details

What a crock!
