if so would you really consider them to be ska because i know alot of people dont i personaly do

I'd simply call them Alternative Rock more like.. ska influences, but maybe not actual ska. if you knwo what I mean?

yeah I would not call them ska, maybe heavy reggae influenced but not ska. I'm not really a fan though so I haven't listened to an exstensive selection of their stuff, like an album or two maybe. I like Speak Easy but that's about it. more of an alternative rock band.

yeah i have to agree after thinking about it there simple just a heavily reggae influnced band rathere so than ska

Ha! I'm new here, but for some reason I thought there'd be a thread about 311 in the "ska" forum.

I'm a huge fan..I don't really put them into a specific genre though, since they pretty much experiment with a lot of different styles.
