It's around 8 PM on Friday night, and you're online blasting "these f**king Americans" while championing Britishness for Britishness' sake?

Having a few drinks, are we?

In any case, it certainly seems to be Brits who are buying American CDs, watching American TV shows, and going to American movies and picking up on American language and culture, as opposed to an actual invasion of Americans into the UK "making" anything "s**te."

American pride is fierce and rightly so. We have learned to adapt to many cultures and embrace it's diversity. One expression is the evolution of language. You have every right to keep your traditionalism, but the fact is change is upon your language.

Oh yeah I forgot...

besides being born from several dialects of Low German around A.D. 400 it also borrowed heavily from Latin...

Yeah, really. As if English is any pure beautiful thing.

English is the most bastard language in existence. It's a loose combination of several different languages, with a basis in German and Latin with a smattering of French and a bunch of others.

I've had a few beers, and it pissed me off earlier when I found out that the most common mistakes in GCSE papers are because of people spelling things the American way.

Why the f**k do people no know how to spell properly in this country anymore.

It's like someone walking out of the movie store with a bag full of DVDs and copies of Cosmopolitan and People bitching about how much they hate the entertainment industry and how the stupid things Britney Spears does make headlines.
