I have just got back (3am this morning) from africa. I have spent 3 months in Botswana and a few weeks visiting Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa. I just want to say that if anyone ever gets the chance to go somewhere like that just GO!! It is the most amazing place, I taught english at a school in Botswana it is really great experience.

I have decided to visit more places as soon as I can afford to, if anyone has anywhere to recommend post it.

So far I have booked trips to:

Morocco - October
Madagascar - Next June
America - August
Peru - December

I am also considering hiking along the appalacian trail. It runs from Canada to Georgia (2160 miles) and to date only 9,000 people have walked all the way.

His eyes are hollow but he looks like me
Who's that swinging from the gallow tree
Up jumped the Devil and took my soul from me

I take it you are refering to "Operation Murambatsvina" or the governments "restoring order". And I did not go bungee jumping. The group I was with went and 5 days in a refugee camp on the border with Zambia. We built temporary shelter for the arriving people and also helped with the medical side of things there. Unless you had been there with me you cannot really make such a comment.

Don't you feel stupid after you found out what he was actually doing there.

Wow, that sounds incredible. I loved SA, and miss the place - but it's just getting well bad out there Says it all when amongst tourist leaflets at Joburg airport, there are leaflets advertising Australia as a place to escape to and give your family a better future.

As for Mugabe, he is a racist, murderous thug who deserves punishment he will probably never get - but it is not the ordinary people's fault, and what you helped do is awesome.

Democracy is when 2 wolves and a sheep meet to decide who is for dinner.
Liberty is when the sheep has a gun.
