Well im a weegie and have a weegie accent. It is completely different form the Stirling one. The dialect changes between Glasgow and Stirling as well.

E.g Stirling folks use the works bairn, muckle, ken, where as glasgow doesnt.

The Inverness accent is supposed to be the best for clarity in the UK

Stirlingites use the term "Ken"? Thought that was a north-east term.

Shows what I know.

I do know I walked into a room full of Weegie's and Edinburgers and they were confused when I asked "Fit Like?".

Perhaps shes a little posher sounding. But I think when you tell and american where we are from, they expect us to sound like her

SPS, you both do. She definatly has a Plymouth accent. On certain words it almost sounds like a somerset accent.

So you have a "posh" accent then? Huh, go figure, I wouldn't expect you to have a posh accent!

Interestingly, all accents (with the exception of the cockney type accents) from the south of England sound posh to me.

You wouldn't say that if you heard me talk. Although, I have been called posh a few times, mainly by Manicunian's(sp?) and Liverpudlians(sp?)

I was just using it as an example it probably is a term from the North - east although i have heard it being used in Ayrshire.

I have a South London accent with a bit of Southern Irish thrown in
I don't really have that much experience with Scottish accents so I doubt that I would be able to tell them apart.

Aye, makes sence.

I can never type in a Scots or doric accent, I speak it, just can't write it.

Furryboots ye fae? Hmm...just doesn't work.

I love accents, I don't think I have one but people love hearing me say "Eh" I'm such a Canadian stereotype.
