This sort of thing makes me hopping mad. This girl is far, far too thin. She looks anorexic. If she is "fat" then the likes of Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer must be completely obese.

The industry really should get a grip. This is becoming totally out of hand imho

Horrific, isn't it? And Karl Lagerfeld has apparently had a go at anybody who objects to these skinny models by accusing them of being fat lumps who sit around stuffing themselves with fattening foods. The day I buy an overpriced frock from a man with the dress sense of a male stripper is never going to come. How can he justify endorsing such an unhealthy idea?

First of all, that pic is irrelevant because it's been extremely Photoshopped.

Second of all, models are fired for being too big all the time. Size 4 is pretty big for a top-end designer label model.

What you see in the picture above is not size 4.

So make quiet with the absurd outrage.

Even without the 'benefit' of photoshop, some of the catwalk models in magazines over here are far too thin. I'm just pleased that my 15-year-old daughter is sensible enough to think the same. She doesn't aspire to that sort of starvation chic.
