19/M/Salt Lake City, Utah Join Date: Jul 2007 | The way I look at it, who are you to decide what a mother wants to do? People who claim to be pro-life are really also "anti-choice," to put it really bluntly. I've been called "pro-death" for being pro-choice, but that's really not true. I'm not telling anyone that they have to "kill babies;" I'm just saying that it should be a decision up to a woman and the father.
No one really wants abortions. Anyone who's pro-choice doesn't really want people to have abortions; they simply don't. I'm not trying to encourage anyone to have abortions, just trying to make sure they can make their own choice, not have other people make them for them.
But here's my thoughts about the solution to this debate, and you may think I'm crazy. But here it goes. Theoretically, there is a way to have an abortion without killing the baby. The baby is simply removed from the mother, then raised as a test tube baby. It wouldn't be long until we could successfully carry out this process, given that there was government-funded research. In this way, unwanted pregnancy terms do not need to be carried out, but no one can be accused of "killing babies," as some of you would put it. The baby can be given up for adoption after it is mature enough. | | | Edited: July 20, 2007 @ 23:47

19/F/Kitchener, Canada Join Date: Jul 2007 | I believe that Abortion is the murder of the innocent/unborn. I also believe that God considers it murder. I believe this simply because of the 10 Commandments, specifically the 6th Commandment(see Exodus 20:13) Thou shalt not commit murder. We were made in God's image and therefore anyone who murders the innocent/unborn is doing a great injustice to God (see Genesis 1:26)Also if you look back to Exodus 1:15-17(Then Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, gave this order to the Hebrew midwives, Shiphrah and Puah:“When you help the Hebrew women as they give birth, watch as they deliver.[a] If the baby is a boy, kill him; if it is a girl, let her live.” But because the midwives feared God, they refused to obey the king’s orders. They allowed the boys to live, too.) Because the midwives feared God they didn't commit the act of murder either before or after the baby was born. God also said (in Jeremiah 16:17)I am watching them closely, and I see every sin. They cannot hope to hide from me.
Therefore I think Abortion is wrong in God's eyes.

Very well said I give you a cudos for that.

Whoever posted that is chatting crap IMO. I know a couple of people who have had abortions and feel no such thing. The only reason someone would feel like that is if they wernt intrirely sure on their decision and went ahead without giving it more thinking time.
On that note, I say to each his own. Because I know a handful of people who have had abortions and thought about it pretty hard and in there mind was the ONLY thing they could do. Years down the road, They have had other children, that have gone to college and are out of the house and they hear babies cry. So.. I think it is all about the person..

I agree. I believe that everything happens for a reason, Every child is born or put here for a reason. And you aborting that child is murder. If that child WASNT supposed to be here, Then it WOULDNT be!
Thats just my opinion though

god is an EVIL FICTITIOUS PRICK, what the bible says is just an opinion, it is no more relevent than someones opinion on this forum, no wait its alot less relevent because the bible was written more then 2000 years ago and people were totaly barbaric and stupid back then. haveing an abortion does not hurt anybody, the baby is just a collection of cells, it shoud be her choice to have an abortion, because unlike murder no one gets hurt
