I'm pro-life. If you can't handle a baby, you shouldn't be having unprotected sex. There are a few cases where I think abortion is acceptable, but in most cases... it's not.

If you were raped, then it's understandable... if you were impregnated by incest, then it's understandable... or if the baby has a 75-100% chance of being really deformed, or a 75-100% chance of having some sort of horrible disease... then it's completely understandable.

In some cases, like for Tay-Sachs disease* then it's probably best for an abortion. Also, things like passing AIDS on to your baby, the baby having severe down syndrome, or other horrible diseases, then maybe an abortion would be best. It would be just devastating to have a baby be severely disabled. BUT abortion shouldn't be used as a form of birth control.

*Tay-Sachs is a disease where the baby's brain essentially gets suffocated in it's own head. With Tay-Sachs, babies usually only live to about 5 or 6 years old before they die.*

I think that abortions are perfectly acceptable, as long as they are carried out before the child becomes in any way sentient, which is usual a while after birth anyway. That way there is no net suffering for the child and, hopefully, it will reduce the suffering of the family involved.

and if you slept with someone and got pregnant then its your fault dont take it out on an unborn child
and if you dont want to take the responsibilty for then give it to a resnosible person

i do not believe in it as a form of contraception. i know of women who have had more than 2 because they were careless.

i believe the cut off point should be lowered unless for medical reasons.

i dont think its murder but i would find it hard to remain friends with someone who used abortion as a form of contraceptive.

People who are pro life tend to think it is better to give the child up for adoption. Me, personaly I think that would be worse for the child in the long run. I know that sounds dumb because what could be worse than no life at all? Growing up always questioning why your parents did not keep you. Besides with people having abortions everyday it keeps the population under control.
