47/NA/nowhereville, Join Date: Apr 2008 | I had my period a total of 5 times until I turned 30. No one could ever tell me why, I had 3 kids (planned) during that time, so I was still ovulating. I Wasnt under weight, or overweight, I wasnt stressed. Somewhere around 30 I started getting my period during spring and summer, once a month, Then I got my period and it wouldnt stop, a lot of blood too, they did another thyroid test and this time I was low, they gave me synthyroid and my period stopped, now I am 47 and I have had my period like clock work every month since I was put on the meds- I didnt have a thyroid problem in my 20s though, I just didnt get a period! Now my daughter (2 is having the same problem, she gets a period every few months. She also never had a problem getting pregnant, she has 2 kids- So who really knows what causes it. I just wanted to tell you this because I want you to know some people just dont get it the same as others, and both my daughter and I never really had any problems because of it. I have never had any other female problems either. | | |
