I noticed last week, that my neighbours are growing canibis in there french window doorway. Some 4 plants about 5 foot or so high now.
They have 2 kids, aged about 3-6, and every other day all I hear is empty beer bottles put into there recycle bin. They also like to use our fron garden as a short cut over a fench onto a public path running to the side of our house, and they trample all over my plants etc.
Im a little pissed of with that to be honest, i have already solved the problem with there playing music to silly hours of the night, now i have to put up with them, there cats s**tting in my carrot patch, and now drugs!

I have no idea what to do in best interest for anyone.

you can call the health board, police and childrens aid.

I think we have all been conditioned to look the other way when something is happening that is not right. What used to be called being responsible and taking care is not called being a snitch or ratting someone out.

Bottom line is that if they are partying that much and growing pot in plain view maybe they need that lifestyle to BE ruined, for their sake AND the sake of the kids. I would call social services and have them investigate if they think they need to.

Sorry I just think the real tragedy here is the kids that don't have a choice in what is happening around them. At least if you make that call they will have a chance at a different life.

Life is never quite what we expect it to be, but it is all of what we make it.

Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't. You don't want to call anyone, because there is a chance of breaking up a family. But if you don't call, what if the kids eat those plants and get sick (or worse, die)? You'd probably feel bad then, too.

All you can do is vote your conscience. It sounds like you have some real rednecks for neighbors, and boyo! can I relate to that. You have my sympathies. Maybe if this is the case, then this is not a very good environment for the kids anyway?

I think if it were my call... I would. Good luck to you, I wish you the best.

I would have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in reporting them as it's not right for children to grow up in that environment. What chance do they stand growing up with those parents as role-models. And if the parents cared more about their kids than themselves, they wouldn't be subjecting them to that lifestyle would they.
Also, if they are council tenants rather than homeowners, I would report them to the council as well!

It is a difficult one, but like someone else pointed out if you dont know that both parents are drinking and are willfully neglecting their children then I dont think it's fair to call in social services. That said you know whats going on better than we do. Do the kids generaly seem happy?, well dressed and clean?. As for the dope, well thats your call too, but if they were my neighbours and they were pissing me off I would see that as a bit of leverage.

If you decide to make a call to the Child Protective Services or the cops and you want to remain annoymous use a pay phone or if there is a crime stoppers where you live, the callers name and address will be in the written reports and become public knowledge otherwise.

If your gonna go, go like hell, If your minds not made up, Dont use your SPURS !!
