I was wondering if anyone had a miracle cure for insomnia?? I don't like to rely on sleepling pills but the last eight months have been rubbish. It started when i discovered i was pregnant, then unfortunately i lost the baby (had to have a D and C) and i suffered panic attack before bed due to worry of thinking about it all. I'm better now but my sleeping pattern is awful, i worry about everything and feel permanently guilty, like i should be doing something that i'm not. I work as a nurse so i know shifts don't help but i used to sleep like the dead!! (sorry if this offends anyone).
Any ideas???

You'd probably be best going to see someone to talk about it, get some help about the guilt.

Even if I told the world, it would not be enough coz it was not said to you..

yeah sounds like you have more like an anxiety, might be worth chatting to a counsellor.

Yes, it sounds like there is a lot of stuff that maybe is keeping you up at night, obviously. I'd try to talk to someone--you'd be amazed at how much venting can help relieve anxiety. As far as methods of getting to sleep outside of pills...I honestly don't know. I dealt with insomnia for 2 years and have finally succumbed and started taking some medication. To be honest, though, it does help. It's a lot easier to get up and deal with life after you've slept a few hours.
I wish you luck.

valerian or camomile tea before bed. Lavender helps as well but make sure you get the pure essential oil. put some on your pillow and inhale.
