Hi all,

I have an old, vague recollection, which I hoped someone could help me bring back to life.

A few years ago, I saw a 19th century German painting, as part of an historical exhibition in Munich. It could have been a Böcklin painting, or Anselm Feuerbach, or something like that. Or - as I remember at least one of the other paintings - something by one of the Kaulbachs. The only thing I can remember, is the image of a cripple with a crutch, a figure with symbolic significance and an uncanny expression that has stuck with me.

Nevertheless, my memory fails me...
I know this is a VERY LONG SHOT, but: Does this ring a bell with anyone here?
