I saw a 2004 KIA Sodona(family van) for sale...$4400.00. It's really nice but I've heard some bad things about them too?! Has anyone had a bad experience with this model or know more about them? Don't let me buy a lemon

I have a 2000 Kia Sephia with 170K miles on it. Worse thing that has happened is a bad fuel injector.
I did have all the belts and hoses replaced two years ago.

Every car can be a lemon if the preventative maintenance is neglected. That's what pisses me off when I hear new car marketing that says "100,000 miles between tune ups". Sure, you can drive 100,000 miles between tune ups if you want to, but you will be paying for a lot more than a tune up when the time comes.

You always take a chance with used cars. The fuel injection may be a problem and if it develops it can cause a fire while driving.

When kias first came out they had a terrible reputation, not so much anymore.

I havent heard anything bad about them. My buddy deals with a lot of minivans too, because he works as a mechanic and has ALOT of minivan taxis some in...Pontiacs are always the biggest POS's

As for not knowing anything except the year make and model...$4400 is around the blue book value on that car.
