A survey to all architects, architecture enthusiasts, and just plain old everyone with an opinion:

What is your opinion on any of the following items:
- Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill's "Freedom Tower"?
- Daniel Libeskind's original "Freedom Tower" and "World Vertical Gardens"?
- Daniel Libeskind's revised and toned-down "Freedom Tower"?
- The first incarnation of SOM's "Freedom Tower" (with wind turbines)?
- Michael Arad's World Trade Center Memorial?
- The new World Trade Center PATH terminal?
- And anything you can think of that relates to the redevelopment of the World Trade Center site?

This post is meant to spur discussion; I will listen and respond to your opinions. Living in New York and being an aspiring architect (among other things) I have followed the rebuilding of "Ground Zero" very closely. If you have questions regarding it, please also post those as well.

Thank you,
August Smith

Freedom Tower eh...I think they shouldn't build a tower there. Leave it a
memorial for the WTC. I think they should keep the two lights shining up at the
sky. It looks very nice and sybolizes a lot.

Freedom Tower...nah, noone would want to work there, think about it.

Ignorance is bliss...no wonder so many people like Windows.
Like what you see?

Not that I'm an architect cause I'm not, but they should definitely rebuild to show America won't stop just because someone else wants us to. I admire the design plans for the new buildings and can't wait to drive past the new ones and say, "take that Osama." Bet he won't be laughin' once those are erected.

That's the best approach.

Although memorial's are respectful and caring to all those that lost their lives, to show that
you will not be hindered because another hurts you would be a good sign.

Just because there's no memorial, doesn't mean that they're gonna leave our hearts, which is
where they belong.

A slab of rock with their names on it won't make any difference. The site alone, new building
or not, will be painful.

Every moral has a story;
And every story has an end.
