i feel pretty safe on here replying to posts by people of any age because there isnt that 'seedy' feel to the posts even when its an adult subject. im also pretty sure if i said something inaproppriate it would get dealt with very quickly.

The hardest thing about talking to anyone online is the fact that people lie. Most arent who they claim to be and its hard to see through the bulls**t.

I could be a 16 year old crying out for attention. My boyfriend could be fake. I could lie about abuse or illness just to get attention. I could post pics of myself or other people and pa** them off as my own!!

Its really sad, I dont think anything online should be taken too seriously until much time has been had in convo's and such.

Well, I'm 39 & I have an 18 year old daughter so yeah, I'm a little nervous talking to anyone underage.

That being said, If anyone My age hit on my daughter, I'd stomp 'em into a greasy spot on the floor!!

my 15 yr old son was talking to some girl on a different site she said she was14, it turned out she was a he who was a adult,cos he is still hasnt picked up the art of deception he believed this person,when hecome home he looked on my p.c and he was still there so we phoned the police,we dont know what happend but he wasnt on the next night,my sonis gulliable and probably would arrange a meet ,it makes feel sick.

i think it's about just how old they are, their maturity, and to be honest, if they are just butt ugly. nobody will want to be a pedofile. also though it is about trust. with the whole michael jackson thing, it was the CHILD who said it to them, so you have to take into acount our thoughts (i'm under 16 btw)

It depends on the person honestley. If a 17 year old is more mature than for say a 20 year old, than I could see why somone older would date them. But sometimes, its just creeping. There are certainly limits, but I dont feel as if its wrong. Shit, when i was 17...

The situations are obviously very touchy. Online, anything and everything can be real, or fake. Its virtual; you'll never know really.

I believe that if someone thinks they can make adult desicions, they should be ready to deal with the consiquences(sp i know). The level of maturity determines the level of common sence one should possess. These little 13-17 year old really have no clue whats going on online. Even if you say you do, you dont. I said i knew everything at 17, im 21...and still learning.

But hopefully, little ones will be able to learn from their own mistakes, and hopefully, its not a fatal one.

yes, i do feel a little funny, uneasy talking with youngsters on line sometimes,
but other times not.

It is unfortunate that because of the magnification of the poedaphile
transgressions (in that, due to sensationalism it paints a picture of predators
waiting at every corner near every school or bus stop, nothing but scummy
creeps on line...) However this is not the case, but due to this awareness, adults
with Normal, healthy outlooks on life are made to feel precarious.
oh, well such is life these days!

It's a touchy subject... I def thing guys should be weary talking to those under 16... it can be a little questionable to those around you even if nothing is meant by it. It's sad that the world looks at it that way, but it's the reality of it.

i dont really care who talks to me aslong as thier nice... lol

As a family friend, neighbor or other close relation, no. But if I don't know them, I try to avoid talking.
