I use Microsoft Frontpage & Gimp for creating & editing my websites & find them very user friendly & again If you search carefully enough, you can get them both for free !

Ofcourse there are other things to consider like a domain name & hosting company to look after your site on the net.

There's also the consideration of an email pick up facility (auto responder) to build up future customer lists, which is crucial to the longevity of your business/website (optional).

Finally you need a program to upload your details to the internet, in order for your programmed information to be viewed by folk via the world wide web !

To finish it can cost you as little as £100 a year up to £500 depending on the companies you wish to use & this excludes any ongoing advertising/promotion you wish to get involved with

Cheers

Mark

A frend of mine needs to make a website from scratch and she has asked me to helkp her and considering I'm home sick again and can't see the boys it gives me something to do so I said yes. But what program can you use? She doesn't have FrontPage and neither of us know HTML she said she can use poerpoint and make it a presentation but she doesn't have a clue who to make it interactive which it needs to be....

Apparently there is somethng in netscape that allows her to make a page but it requires HTML.... What else can you use that is REALLY simple?

Hey, there are lots of simple tutorials that can help you on how to create your own website. HTML is a simple language that you can learn. You can watch in YouTube some basic tutorials. Try this one, link [www.quackit.com] Or if you want to learn more try to visit Firm Monster . Hope I can help. Good Luck.

Try Google Sites, www.sites.google.com. It's a pretty self explanatory process so you shouldn't have too much trouble designing the page and getting started.

I have a site there, and although it's semi-limited in editing, it's a really simple, quick and cheap way to design a webpage.
