I've always wanted to live in Alaska. I am planning on moving there from Arkansas. Right now, I am trying to recruit some friends from all over to move with me. I cant really tell if they are serious though. I know I am, and in any event I am looking forward to moving there to start a new life. It would be really cool to know someone in Alaska before I (or we) go. So if anyone who lives there reads this please reply so I (or we) can get some more info.

trust me, alaska is a great place. i've never been there, but me and my feance's hunnymoon will either be there, or (what she wants) someplace tropical. The icy tundra isn't all it has to offer. THer are great forests, feilds, and interesting wildlife i say if oyu have the cash, your paretns, or gardians are ok with it, have fun!
but the only problem is, there record high there was 100 degreese!

Many thanks. From what I've seen from pictures and TV, Alaska looks very beautiful and exotic. The laws seem to be very liberal as well. It's a real leap of faith to actually get everything together and just go thousands of miles to start a new life. I guess I expected a little more skeptisism. I am at a point in my life where I am about to start my career and must decide where I want to do it. I have a lot of friends down here but I hear the people are very nice in Alaska so it shouldnt be that hard to meet new people. I imagine it to be a very large beautiful small town where the isolation brings out the best in human nature.

i've been to anchorage before. spent like a week and a half there. don't remember too much about it (i was pretty trashed), but i had a good time!

i remember three girls tried to beat me up for calling them eskimos or something!

i am going back there early next year tho.

That sounds about like a typical teusday night in Arkansas. Would you ever want to live in Alaska?

id love to live there. i think its beautiful. my uncle goes there once a year with his motorhome, ive seen so many pics. its such a gorgeous state.

I noticed a lot of people like to visit. I suppose most people dont want to live somewhere that far off because they have a network of friends, family, and job where they are now. But what if you didnt have all that here. Would you choose Alaska or somewhere else and if so why? I know the winters can be a real bitch in Alaska. But, in some ways it is pretty cool to. I love the snow because I dont see much in Arkansas. I hate it being cold but no snow. Its like being on vacation in the tropics without seeing the sun. The northern lights would be cool to see. I have never seen that before. I like to do a lot of fishing and hunting too. I bet its pretty hard in the dark though and dangerous too.

I live in the Interior of Alaska. It's an awesome place. I moved here in 2003 and don't plan on ever leaving.

Does is stay night there for six months or something?

Alaska is on my list of places to visit, but I have a feeling if I ever went there I wouldn't want to leave. It looks so wild and unforgiving, I just know I'd fall in love with it, unconditionally,

I've lived in Alaska 26 years..............once I saw it I never wanted to live anywhere else...........hope you find it the same
