Because it doesnt prevent it if your gonna self harm your gonna self harm not amount of talking about it will stop you doing it...and im sorry but i feel a majority of people do it for attention.

Saying that though it would keep the managers who manage managers etc busy.

If it's white, sticky and not yours dont touch it.

Its about teaching them new methods of dealing with the urge to harm, such as using elastic bands, ice, heat etc, without leaving scarring or lesion.

I don't think the majority of people do it for attention. The people I've known who've done it tried to hide they were doing it.

Yeah i remember at work they talked about doing a 'clinic' like this, never hapened though.
I also remember there was a national advert going round getting people to train in social sevices to help deal with self harmers.

Im sorry but alot of the self harmers i've come across in my jobs have been attention seekers.

All my compassion left me when i was assaulted by a self harmer who tried to stab me with a dirty needle because i wouldnt give her clean ones.

I've self-harmed for 7 years. If in some form of institution that made it impossible to do so, it would just turn to suicidal ideas. The few times I've tried to stop cold turkey just turned bad.

I just read through the article. If it's walk in, do it, get treated and leave, that's just stupid. Don't make it easier to cause worse harm.
