I especially hate it when people say "their" when they mean "there"....or when they say "no" when they mean "know"...
...I mean you are sitting (or standing) their at a evening cocktail party...sure everyone has had a cocktail or two, but no one is full on loopy....you start talking politics (which should be the 1st sign that things are turning to the DarkSide ) ... and then in the middle of a relatively intelligent conversation someone says "their" when they meant "there".... JHFC! That just irritates me to no end!
My Grandma used to call a dresser a "chester drawers" instead of a "chest of drawers". Drove me crazy. I don't care how many people claim that a mispronunciation is correct, it's still wrong.
