If elected Obama has said (and already demonstrated) that he will no longer spend time and money defending DOMA, and will allow marriage equality to become the law of the land..
Romney has said that he would make sure that could never happen.
The cost to myself and my partner over the course of the rest of our lives will amount to more than $600,000
So, it's imperative to me.
