I've never really been one to bother cooking and end up just having things from the freezer etc.

However, I've always thought that I'd be pretty good at cooking and want to start making things from scratch so yesterday I made a cheesecake and lasagne.

I'm after some other suggestions of things to make.

Some things I don't eat:

Beef (will eat mince though)
Pork (will eat bacon and sausage)
Lamb
Fish
Mushrooms (can eat a mushroom sauce though)

Chicken Parmesan is relatively simple but still a good home made meal.

if you can eat lamb in mince form then you can make a greek moussaka ... if done right it's absolutely delicious .... if not then you could use beef mince .

Piri piri chicken is easy enough to make and is delicious, as is jambalaya (though that has chorizo in, but you can always not add it if you want).
