I find in general it's not a sex that lies the most, but a person who fears they have something to lose the most<< think about it, why else does one lie? It's either to protect yourself, or protect another, however, the outcome is generslly worse because of a lie, than just the honest truth.

I didn't read all the posts, but I would say men lie the most, with women right on their heels. Lies by omission are still lies, even if and when they are for a good cause. I asked someone today why they didn't say anything about the trials they went through (in a relationship) to make it work - they said they didn't want to come across as bragging about how hard they worked at 'making it work',
and/or they didn't want to come across as whiners or complainers. All lies by omission, when you find out about it; how ya supposed to know about these things unless others/'they' tell you? imho
