What not make the placement of the emoticons wherever your cursor is instead at the bottom / end of the post?

Having my pointer chased around the screen by rows of smilies would piss me off no end!

I don't think JR mean't that, he was trying to say, that wherever you type a long text post, and then you want to add smileys inbetween, you then place the cursor inbetween the text, then click the smiley you want

So you'd have a list of smilies close by ... pretty much like we have now?

Oh hang on ... means having that smilie insert at the point you click.
