You are very mistaken if you think what I have written here amounts to sympathy. I was trying to express what I believe to be the rights of every defendent charged with a crime,no matter how despicable. If justice is not meted out even handedly, there is no justice!

He signed to become an American Soldier. To defend and protect his country. Not to murder his own. Why should I have sympathy for someone who OBVIOUSLY didn't have sympathy for any one else. If he didn't want to be deployed, why didn't he just end his own life.

Perhaps that is what he did? Substitute Muslim with american and you will see what I mean. I agree that he should have took his own life instead of killing so many. The Army KNEW he was having trouble with fighting Muslims- they should have demoted him and put him some where else.

By the by- one of Ft Hoods soldiers went on a rampage and took 20 some lives and wounded 20 some others years ago. The only difference being he was not having problems killing muslims- he just went off.
Really when you get down to it. One is a terrorist? and the other just a kook?
Nah- they did the same thing.

Are you saying that the enemy sends in the true head cases first? That would imply that in this instance there was/is an organized effort by the enemies of freedom to attack the US military in a truly insidious way.

I've also heard it said that this Major, while arousing much suspicion, was left go because of political correctness. Nobody wanted to be sued for discriminating against a Muslim.

How can any soldier trust anyone now? Even the leaders.

Be sure to tell any Muslim you meet- so that they can keep an eye on you then!

This is just part of the human condition. Why leave your house? I mean- someone might hurt you or take your life.

People need to stop living in fear. Life goes on. Hoka Hey!

But,
It costs $55.09 on average per day or $20,108 per year to keep an inmate in prison
Why waste the time and $ letting him breath on another day.

Capital cases actually cost way more than life without parole, like three times more.

Its ok to believe in or argue for the death penalty, but as far is it being cost effective, it isn't.

(Though I think the argument here was to deny medical attention rather than actually attempt to convict someone. Which might be a differnt think all together.)

I think I misunderstood you. I wouldn't want a point man who hated my guts either. What if they lead you into an ambush. I'm just saying.

Is he a nut or is he a traitor? I'm glad he survived though because the story that comes out of this should be interesting.
