Well, I am probably stating something you already know, but the Bill of Rights were amendments.

Yes. Amendments are for adding things and not rewriting. It not often that something in the constitution is repealed. If an amendment contradicts something in the constitution itself then I think that part of the constitution must be repealed first.

Well the only people trying to "rewrite" the constitution are the Supreme Court through "interpretation."

Here's my take.

"Conservative" people tend to be traditionalist in all senses. Less government intrusion in the economy but no problem 'legislating morality': making abortions illegal, making homosexual marriage illegal, outlawing drugs, that kind of thing. Some ideas border on racism or are outright racist. Recently the conservative ideal has begun to include interventionism overseas.

"Libertarian" means personal liberty. Little to no government intrusion anywhere. Legalizing drugs, legalizing gay marriage, that kind of stuff. Let people do what they want as long as they're not actually hurting anyone else. Let other nations govern themselves as long as they're not directly hurting or making war on anyone else.

Which would explain the isolationism of the 30's before the take-over of the FDR administration. Thank you and kudos.

If anybody does then they are clueless. Big business is pro-money. If that means supporting left-wing slobber-heads who scream CO2 is destroying the world then they will support that if there is money to be made. Take the whole carbon credit industry for example. So much money there that they have no choose but to support that.
Make money off of trading nothing at all. It's a con artists dream come true.
They can either be pro or con tax as well. Because no matter the tax rate they can always adjust their prices to make you and me pay for it.
Big business pro-conservative? Please.

I wasn't stating that. Thank you. I am just trying to start something.

We can look at the history of big business supporting Hitler and it leads us to believe that big business is opportunistic.

In all honesty the carbon credit actually benefits big business because it eliminates small competition.

Yes, it's a giant scam in the guise of helping the environment.

Big business is prone to jump on the cause that either increases the profit margin or secures it, to me that is a plain and simple fact. Big business is in the pocket of power, not the right.

Exactly what I said. They will go where the money is. If it's green then that is where it goes even if the science is 8th grade. As long as dumb masses believe in it they will support it. That's how the carbon trading scam got started.
